Caleb Williams: A
I have been very critical of Caleb Williams in previous weeks, but it seems that he is starting to learn how to play the right way in the NFL. He had a very impressive week as he threw for 304 yards and 2 TDs in the lopsided victory over Carolina. He is starting to settle down in the pocket and now he has a better sense of when to take off as the play breaks down. These adjustments have made him a more efficient passer as his QBR, completion percentage, and passing yards are all improving as the season progresses. Now Caleb did majorly benefit from a lot of run-after-the-catch yardage by his receivers in this matchup, so his stats are decently inflated. However, it doesn’t take away from how effective this offense was against the Panthers.
Jayden Daniels: A-
After seeing what Jayden Daniels is capable of against the Bengals, he is now being held to a higher standard for the rest of the season. In this matchup, the Browns' defense was determined to put a lot of pressure on Jayden Daniels to see how he would respond to the pressure. And in response, the Commanders once again put up over 30 points for the 3rd game in a row. Jayden Daniels put up 238 passing yards, 82 rushing yards, 1 TD, and 1 Int in the dominant win. The reason I rated Daniels higher than maybe his stats would suggest is because of his ability to consistently break tackles and evade a lot of pressure in the pocket and still maintain his composure.
Bo Nix: B
Bo Nix had a lot of stat inflation in this game. The vast majority of his passes were very short completions which his receivers turned into good gains. Now with that said, Bo Nix probably had the best game of his career so far. He threw for 206 yards, a 70% completion percentage, and scored 3 total TDs. He did enough for the Broncos to comfortably get the win, but I give a lot of credit to the Broncos defense for putting their offense in a position to succeed several times throughout the game. With this win, the Broncos have now built themselves a 3-game winning streak. However, with the Chargers up next on the Broncos schedule, Bo Nix will have to be ready to come out swinging in order to keep this streak alive.
